The Soccer Aid Scholarship Fund was created in 2022 as a resource to be used to support players for whom it would be difficult to join without financial support.  Thanks to everyone who supported our events last year, we were able to raise over $45,000 and assist 12 players this year.

There are many important benefits in organized sports for children.  United FC, Sporting Michigan, and Sporting United FC’s goal is to develop young people, not only as soccer players, but in their personality and character - creating lifelong memories, relationships, and a sense of family through the pursuit of this game.

We hope you will join us for one of our events in 2024.

SOCCER AID FAQ

  • Soccer Aid is a 501-3c non-profit scholarship program created by Sporting United FC, United FC, and Sporting Michigan FC.

  • Every year the clubs associated with Soccer Aid subsidize players who cannot afford their club dues.  Unfortunately, at times the clubs cannot accommodate all the requests they receive, and players are not able to participate.  We believe soccer should be available to everyone and soccer aid has been set up to help raise funds for players in this situation.

  • Soccer aid has a board of directors, made up of volunteers both from inside (current parents) and outside the club.  None of the board members work for or own any of the soccer clubs involved in the scholarship fund.

  • Players who do not have the funds to play at United FC, Sporting Michigan FC, and Sporting United FC

  • Golf Outing - May 22, 2023 - Fieldstone Golf Club in Auburn Hills

    Gala Event – February 2023 - San Marino Club in Troy

  • Players who cannot afford their club dues can apply for a scholarship.  Based on this application, the scholarship committee, will determine if players are eligible to receive any funds and how much.
